what is Grant application access? The eBay Supported Returns Provider?

I am returning an item . There is a return label button . After i click on this, another page pops up that says

"Ready to use The eBay Supported Returns Provider? Great! To share info about your eBay account and let The eBay Supported Returns Provider act on your behalf, we need your consent first. Don't worry: we won't give the application your eBay password. And if you ever change your mind about consenting to this application, no problem. Just go to My eBay to take care of it.

Please be sure to read the The eBay Supported Returns Provider terms of service and Privacy Policy, because these are the terms and policy that will apply when you use this application. We don't manage policies set by other companies.

When you agree, you're letting us share your eBay account data with The eBay Supported Returns Provider, and you're letting The eBay Supported Returns Provider act on your behalf on eBay, as described in their terms of service."

is this legitimate ?

why would you bring in a third party to share your details with ? I onlly want the label for return so i can go to post office ! So just checking if its ok to agree to this , or is this some scam ?

Hi - I've just been through the same process for a return that was approved by seller. Once you agree to the Ebay Supported Returns blurb, it takes you through a quick process to then print a label for the item and drop it off at any Australia Post office, with the return postage at sellers expense. I was hesitant too, but the process works! Hope this helps.
