Given their shocking feedback, I would have run a mile

You have six months to open a dispute with PayPal for item not received or item not as described upon arrival 

In future, avoid buying from dodgey as sellers, or if they have something unique you simply must have, don't allow them to string you along for so long, open an eBay dispute before time runs out for that

As the item number and details of the transaction were removed, it was basically a waste of time.
