Bank transaction account when selling

Can I use a bank transaction account as my payment preference when selling?  I haven't sold for a few years and used to use a linked PayPal account but apparently this is not an option now.  Some online information says  a bank savings account can't be used and some say it has to be a "checking" account.  Do you have to open a bank account with a cheque facility?

PayPal has not been an option for sellers for about 5 years

It is Managed Payments now, the only option for sellers to be paid

And you need to fully complete sign up, and be verified to sell before you list anything

The bank account you use for Managed Payments must be an Australian bank account, and one that can receive deposits and withdrawals 

Best to read the policy surrounding this on eBay for yourself

Savings account is not allowed.
