Buyer says PayPal not working

A experienced buyer has contacted me to say that she is having issues with her PayPal account and wants to pay me by bank transfer instead. I have given her two weeks to sort it out but she is still saying that she cannot pay via PayPal. The amount is small (c.$20) and she seems genuine but I am not sure if there is any mechanism for eBay payment outside of PayPal. I would be grateful for any advice! Thanks.

I don’t know whether you can edit the payment method post-sale, although you can do so beforehand:

But bank transfer is perfectly safe for the seller.

 

The whole “having trouble with PayPal account” might worry you but really, that’s a concern for a buyer if a seller says they’re having account issues. As far as I’m aware, there is nothing to fear the other way around.
