I wish to sell surplus household items. I have not sold on ebay for a few years. Previously my buyers paid me via bank transfer. I understand that current ebay policy says I must offer one safe payment method.
1. Can I state bank transfer as preferred payment as long as I do offer Paypal as a choice as well?
2. If a buyer pays with Paypal, can they then say they did not receive the goods and Paypal reimburse them and I, as the seller, am out of pocket?
3. Will I incur Paypal fees for payments received to me via Paypal (I will only be selling low priced items)?
4. With refunds, I understand policy is in Australia that I must offer a refund for damaged goods or not as described? Can I state a refund will be offered if not as described and buyer must pay return postage and original postage to buyer will not be refunded?
There does not seem to be much ebay protection for a seller.
Thanks.
