Entry into my credit card from Ebay that I do not recognise

I have been round and round trying to find some assistance from Ebay about this matter. It does not fit into the selected help subjects.

I have a charge on my Amex account that states Ebay and a number.

I cannot locate what that purchase was for or from which company and it does not come up on my Ebay account.

There is a number starting with 866 and has 10 digits in total. Can anyone assist me?

I would like to contact Ebay to find out what this charge is for.

Firstly, make sure the charge is real and not just a fake email. Don't click on links.

Secondly, if the charge is 48.99 then it is the renewal of your eBay plus subscription.

That subscription requires you to cancel it before it automatically renews.

Thirdly, if you need to contact eBay then select help at the top of the page and scroll down to contact us.
