How do I get my money back on an item paid for that the seller has shipped but has then decided to cancel ?

I purchased an item for £983 plus shipping of £50 

The item bidding looked like nibbling or shilling but as I wanted the item I went ahead with the purchase.

After I paid for the item the seller told me shipping was £150 

I told her I was unhappy with this.

She said she had shipped the item but would cancel the purchase if I wanted.

I decided to cancel the item asthe experience has spoilt the item for me and she said that as it had already been shipped and I have to refuse to pay customs or not accept delivery and the item would be returned to her.

She would then refund my payment of almost AU $1700

How do I ensure I get my money back - have others had this happen ?
