How do I know my bank details will be safe with strangers?

How do I know that my bank details will be safe with strangers and that they won't use them for fraudulent purposes?

if you have ever posted someone a cheque from your bank account you have given them all those details anyhow, that's what all the numbers are on the bottom of a cheque.

so if your Bank thinks its OK to print your details and full name on a cheque, I guess it is OK
