Once you win an auction or make a purchase you are obligated and the seller is immediately charged fees.
If you asked the seller to cancel, your order may already have been processed and was too late.
Now that you have received the item you can resell it yourself or gift it to someone.
Otherwise you can message the seller to see if they are prepared to have you return it at your cost for a refund of item cost only and less fees they won't get back. Keep in mind the seller is not obligated to doing so.
