I got an email from EBAY saying my payment would come through after tracking number is send is this correct?

I received an email from ebay international AG stating that my payment has been confirmed and approved and i am to send out the item as soon as possible to the address provided by the buyer and mail the shipment details to paypal for verification? Is this correct? I would rather have the funds before sending out this expensive item.
