eBay often put through a proforma payment which is actioned to make sure it doesn't bounce and incur fees. When it clears the real transaction then goes through, crediting the first trial payment.

Was one a 'pending' transaction, and the other an actual transaction?

Have you contacted the seller? or eBay?
