Recently I sold an OBD2 adapter on eBay. Since eBay was offering a 10% discount for orders $75 and over paid via PayPal and I was selling it at $87 he chose to use PayPal even though it was a local pickup.
From reading whirlpool and ozbargain and this community this is not advisable as credit card chargeback is possible which I'm not protected against.
What can I do to make it safe? Sight licence and get signature?
Also I've been getting conflicting emails from eBay and PayPal. On the eBay order details screeen it says "Estimated delivery Local pickup" and Shipping Service Local Pickup. However on the PayPal emails it says to ship now.
Also my funds received for the sale are being held until 1st September. How can I get it released? If he marks it as sent will I be able to get the money afterwards?
