I was not informed that my payment would be put on hold.. I offered free shipping on the pretense of paying for it out of my payment
You had to tick the box that said you had ‘read and agreed to’ and eBay assume people do
Those holds really do apply
you do not need to be told again
Your funds will be on hold for 30 days as they are for every new and infrequent seller
and you must ship within your handling time
Have you fully signed up to Managed Payments and been verified to sell?
Read up on the selling basics, including the hold you agreed to when you ticked the box
Did you not read the Selling “Help” pages and policy pages before selling?
I very strongly suggest you read the following - thoroughly - so that you’re not taken by surprise by anything else.

You have also left feedback for your buyer where you state
You've put the expected delivery date as the 8th.. This is incorrect
The buyer, obviously cannot insert the estimated delivery date into your listing
eBay inserts the estimated delivery date, based on the handling time you stated on your listing
You need to post within your handling time, not make the buyer wait for your funds to clear
So if the estimated delivery date was the 8th, you would have need to have already posted it
If you haven't, you can expect an unhappy buyer, a neg feedback and an item not received dispute opened against you
Not the buyer's fault you do not know what you are doing or how selling works

Quoting from above:
To help ensure eBay remains a safe place to buy and sell, and to meet our legal and compliance obligations - opens in new window or tab, we sometimes place a hold on funds, for example, if there's an open case or dispute on a transaction, if your buyer reports a problem with the order, if your account is restricted or suspended, if you owe eBay money, or if you're a new or infrequent seller. If we placed a hold on your funds, we'll notify you by email and, depending on the reason, may request additional information from you to help resolve the issue.
There are various reasons why we may place a hold on your funds.
Transaction holds are when we place a hold on funds related to a particular buyer transaction. The funds on hold may be used to refund the buyer for the same transaction.
While proceeds from your sales typically become available within 2 days of confirming the buyer’s payment, we may place a transaction hold on funds while we ensure a successful transaction. To reduce the likelihood of a transaction hold, we recommend shipping an item the same day your buyer pays for it and following good shipping practices, such as adding tracking information to your order.
