simply want to pay for my goods by debit card - where is that section - you do not have my card details so how can I buy?

Link your debit card to your paypal account and you can pay that way with full buyer protection. All sellers should be able to accept your debit or credit cards that way when they cannot accept debit or credit cards directly.
