Hello,
Would like to know when eBay will enable Zip pay as an payment option on eBay. PayPal is a security risk as my account was hacked and used in a scam to get money from my account.
I have found Zip pay to be more reliable and safer to use than PayPal.
eBay needs to offer more payment method options to customers as PayPal is not a viable and secure payment method and will not acknowledge the loop holes in their current security policies and procedures.
I think more people would prefer a variety of payment opinions as most other online sell/buy businesses like eBay have gained customers online.
eBay have said they are going to remove Paypal as an option for buyers sometime in the future, so you won't have that worry.
They are unlikely to introduce ZipPay and are more likely to encourage buyers to use GPay or their credit card.
eBay offer many payment methods.
As to when they will allow Zip, that is up to them. None of the members here (the only ones who read or reply on the boards+ have any idea.
In the short, medium or long term, maybe try using money that you have.
Thank you to those who respond to my question, much appreciated.
But did notice that afterpay is available as a payment method. Zip pay is exactly the same thing.
So, if they are willing to allow afterpay, Zip pay is also a variable payment opinion as many people use zip pay.
I would not trust any GPay methods as they too can be hacked into just like Paypal.
Anyway, thank you again for your replies.
"Zip pay is exactly the same thing (as Afterpay)." No, they are 2 different companies with different payment options. Not only that Afterpay is not available on all eBay listings either. Read this link for the differences. https://www.ratecity.com.au/credit-cards/articles/zip-pay-vs-afterpay-need-know-joining Maybe GPay can be hacked but that is true of any platform/organisation on the internet.
