how do i get seller to send another invoice

I won an item (Ergo baby carrier)  on 24th August and paid after having a question answered immediately through paypal. Received a message stating seller had not accepted my payment and to wait. I cancelled payment as i felt something was not right. I sent seller an message telling them of my problem in trying to pay, and they insisted for a few days that it was fine and it would be ok. I continued to try and pay via paypal over the coming days and then messaged paypal to try and see if they could help me. They said to get seller to re send invoice, i feel I am being scammed, i worry carrier is a cheap imitation (although seller has told me its genuine) Seller barely understands english etc. Can anyone help me please?
