OK I had my first paypal dispute, buyer lodged claim saying an item I listed was not as described as sizing was incorrect. I provided proof that the lingerie was listed as correct size both in European and Australian. I also stated in listing as it was lingerie I couldn't accept refunds. I hadn't heard from PayPal (as buyer and I both put our sides and then it was left to them to decide). Anway it said that it was under review by PayPal and that a decision would be made by 2nd Sept. Well that date was getting close so I logged in to see if anything was happening only to discover that on 20th August they closed the case! It said that both buyer and I were emailed the result on 20th, but I have no email at all (I checked all folders, spam, trash, inbox etc, nothing!).
When I click on the history it has 2 screens, one screen says the case is closed because I confirmed that I had received the item back and the case was "granted". I did not confirm that I received it back, in fact they never told buyer to send it back. Then when I click on another screen it says that the hold on the funds have been lifted and that I can access them and it shows here payment as still there. I don't understand. This is the cut/paste of the only info I have"
Status
12 Aug 2013 | The funds that were placed on temporary hold are now available for use | Removed |
20 Aug 2013 | Update to Reversal | Cancelled |
What does that mean she got her money (and the item?) or I did?
I sent a message to them but I am not confident they will reply, or it will be some automated response as it always is.
Does anyone know what the likely outcome was or how else I can find out?
