How do I find where to post a question for help with identification of an item

I am trying to find information on how to describe an item to sell and what would I list it under.    I have done google image search and cannot find anything that resembles the base on the item.   

It weighs a little over 1kg is approximately 15cm across the bass and is approximately 13cm tall
