How can I exclude keywords from a search?

Frequently I find that when searching for a certain item, many other unrelated or unsuitable items list keywords which cause them to appear in the results. If the item I am looking for is unusual, very frequently it gets lost in thousands of unrelated or unsuitable items.

Limiting the category has only limited success in weeding out unwanted items since many sellers put items in inappropriate categories.  For example, if I was looking for an aluminium boat but not aluminium boat repairs, could I search in BOATS for "aluminium boat" and exclude the words "repairs"?

Please don't respond with "hey, there's not many sellers repairing aluminium boats" since that's not the point and it's just an example off the top of my head.

You can exclude keywords with '-' (minus) sign. Try this search:

aluminium boat -repairs
