If more than 12 hours to go, tell her she can retract her bid herself by clicking on the bid history, the number of bids placed, scroll down to see the link to retract and follow the prompts.
If less than 12 hours go to the Site Map, bottom of any ebay page, middle column under Selling activities and click on Cancel bids and proceed from there, you will need the item number to do so.
