what is the limit of characters in messages

I would like to write a message to Ebay, but it has 1500 characters, is that too much?  Thank you

Off the top of my head I think it's 2,000 characters, but you will notice anyway when you reach the maximum, as you won't be able to type any further.

just try it and see.  It will let you know if you go over the character limit.

Just make sure you type it up in a word type document first and do a cut & paste.  This way you still have the message to cut & paste again if something goes wrong.

Notepad. Word, etc, contain a massive amount of extraneous garbage that adds to the character count and generates included HTML errors

Try sending and if it is too long then send two messages as page 1 and page 2.

How are you wanting to send a message to eBay?

As far as I am aware, the only message you can send is via email, and eBay emails are bot generated replies (if any at all)

Or were you wanting to copy and paste a pre-written message in eBay chat?

Or do you mean you want to send a message to a seller on eBay?

Or something else entirely ?
