Basic & Featured eBay store

Hi guys,

I was looking at opening a eBay store. I realized that to open a Basic eBay store, the cost would be exactly the same as to open a Featured eBay store. I see it is only better to open a Featured eBay store than a basic store. 

So if featured eBay store are better than Basic store, and the costs are the same. Why would they still give you an option of Basic eBay store? 

If someone could explain more clearly the differences or the reasons they both there that would be great!

The Basic store was recently removed and only the feature is now available.

ebay are bit slow to remove that option it seems.

ebay discontinued the Basic Stores in September.  now the entry level to a Store is Featured at $49.95 a month, plus listing and fvf
