Buyer insisting on paying by cheque - not one of my payment options. Phoned and asked if a cheque was ok - I said no then they did it anyway

A Buyer is insisting on paying by cheque - not one of my payment options. They messaged me and asked if a cheque was ok - I said no. They then phoned me and asked about cheque payment again - they don't want to pay online. I said no again & told her to pay cash into my account instead. She then ignored me and deposited a cheque!!

I'm really peeed-off about this.

Should I cancel the sale & ask her to cancel the cheque??

Just do not post the item/s till the cheque clears.

If you had to open a dispute for non payment and wait the 4 days to close it then that is 8 days they had time to pay.

If the cheque does not clear then you have issues if you have to pay a fee.

Block them by adding to your blocked bidder list and wiat and see if the payment clears.
