Hi there,
i recently listed and sold an iphone 8 that was cleared described as broken and used for parts, that it wont activate etc.
As result it sold for $400 instead of an operational model going for $900. The buyer received over a week ago and obviously decided he cant make the phone work and is now asking for a refund and trying to claim that the phone is stolen!
I've already checked the IMEI with online services numerous times to ensure that's not the case AS WELL as taken it to Apple to check if it can be fixed and they said that its EX-DEMO and cannot be used any longer and that its basically a book light now, but IN NO MEANS STOLEN.
Naturally I included No Returns Accepted on my page.
What can be done? I don''t think it's fair for the buyer to fool around with the item and then try and claim its stolen just to get their money back because they've realised they can't make a phone work and make a quick dollar.
Do i have to give a refund? Do i have to give a partial refund? Can I decline?
Can someone give me some advice/feedback on the issue? Thanks.
