Buyer pickup protection using payal as payment?

Does a buyer, who pays with Paypal, for an  item that is pickup,

still get the "buyer protection" from Paypal?

No

There is no protection with PP on pick up items for the buyer or the seller.

You ONLY pay with cash after you have inspected the item and make sure it is as described and if it needs to be operated to test it then do so.

Once you hand over the cash it is yours and if there is anything wrong when you get it home so sad too bad.
