Cancelled sale confusion.

I attempted to sell an item and a buyer "accidentally" overbid and contacted me to cancel their bid, unfortunately too close to closing the sale. I was then pressured to cancel the sale which I did. eBay charged me for the sale. I subsequently relisted the item under a different item number and sold it  eBay charged me again. Finally eBay gave me a credit on future sales. Unfortunately In am unlikely to ever sell another item although I do buy the occasional item. Why can't I have the amount returned to me directly or in worst case credited to purchases?

None of this was my doing. I was always trying to do the right thing but I have been the punished one.

eBay only gives credit to use for future fees.

But eBay has been known to transfer a credit.

Contact them and ask.

Like all businesses it is a case of give and take.  You give and they take. They work very hard to make it a one way street, more so now with this covid 19.
