I am wondering if I open a basic ebay store are there any hidden costs for listing items and prices of items or can I list and price anything how I want and still only pay the basic fee of $49.99? I am worried that there are hidden costs........

No hidden costs it is all there in the fees info.
20c of 5c for each listing for 30 days + the FVF.
As an eBay Store subscriber, your fees include a monthly subscription fee corresponding to your Store subscription level. In most cases you'll also pay insertion fee and final value fees based on your subscription level.
