Has anyone here been given negative feedback for a sold item before 7 day have passed
I have experienced something like this earlier this year in February from a rouge buyer.
As mentioned, you are not a 'top rated seller' so 7 days does not come into it
Not sure why wait til now to bring it up, when it happened 6 months ago
Had you contacted eBay at the time. *maybe* they *might* have removed it
Especially since you say it was immediate and before you had even sent the item
Quite possibly one of those buyers who only buy to neg
Telling other not to deal with the buyer does not help, nobody else has a clue who the buyer is as it does not give buyer ID to anyone else reading feedback
"before 7 day have passed"
You have to wait for 7 days before leaving negative feedback for top rated sellers.
"bought item and immediately gave negative feedback"
Did you make a request to ebay to have the feedback removed as IMO, there's a very good chance it would have been removed ?
Did you check the buyer's feedback left for others to see if they're auction bombing ?
It's quite possible that others have experienced this from a rogue buyer... not sure about a rouge buyer.
Feedback may be left the moment the item is sold.
I think you need to learn the difference between seller & buyer... on here & when you leave feedback.
as an aside, no-one else can see who the buyer is….you need to address them by eBay name in your response
I would be pretty well certain that some other sellers have experienced this.
It depends on what the negative feedback is for.
If a buyer had a bad experience with communication/messages, then they may very well leave feedback before receiving the item. In your case, the comment was about your listing, not so much the item.
It is a mystery to me why a buyer would buy in the first place if they thought a listing deceptive but my suspicion is they bought, then went back to re-read the ad, look at the photos etc and then had buyer's remorse because they hadn't read it properly at the time of purchase.
It is a shame they did it over a $2 item, but there is not a lot you can do about it. Just move on, I guess, and make sure your ads are as clear as possible in future.
I have read that for some large volume sellers, buyers are not able to give negative feedback immediately, there is a waiit period, but I am not sure if that is still the case and it does not apply to most sellers, as far as I know.
