How can I list an item free postage without the drop down box wanting to know which package and size when it does not fit into the large envelope catagorie

In the domestic postage section select flat cost to all buyers then tick the box to the far right with free postage.

Select postage method such as standard postage and a handling time.

That should then list as free postage.

Try this - 'Select Postage Myself', and then check the box saying 'Offer Free Postage'.

That should work for you.
