How much time is considered reasonable to allow for interstate post before offering a refund.

I posted 2 DVDs from Syd to Kallangur 4503 12th August (8 days ago)  Buyer has sent an irate message saying where are his DVd's and that he's sick of EBay sellers ripping him off!! Hardly. I usually wait 2 weeks if an item doesn't show to contact seller.

As it would be a postpak or small parcel, message the buyer that you have been advised by ebay members that it is a common problem for items to be awaiting collection at the post office either because it hasn't been carded in the mail box or the card has disappeared from the mail box. So buyer should check with their post office.

I wouldn't consider refunding until 2-3 weeks for that route, especially when in flood affected areas.

You could also check with your local post office to see if there have been any delays they know of.

Keep the messaging professional and explain that you are checking from your end.

It will probably turn up in a couple of days, keeping in mind that 8 days has 2 weekends in it.
