In a short period now, i have had 3 claims for "not recieving the item"
yet i have now sold over 230 items with little to no issues.
These buyers are claiming they havnt received the item.
It is not financially viable for me to add tracking to these parcels (games)
Its very concerning that this is happening.
Has anyone had an increase of these types of claims?
Other sellers sending untracked mail simply "self insure" by adding a small amount to their item price to cover any unexpected losses.

No.
I send a lot of untracked items. I can count on the fingers of one hand how many of several thousand items were claimed as not received
I have experienced that......buyers saying they did not receive the items. The best way is to block them in your store......because not only you lost your item plus you lost your money by giving refund. Put that policy of blocking in your terms and conditions in store so that deceitful buyers know and maybe think twice. It is the only thing you can do. I think they can be a group who are known to each other or not at all, but would like to make money in some way or another.....at the expense of honest sellers who just want to make an honest livelihood. Charge it to experience and don't give them a chance again!
Maybe next time you sell something, take a photo of the postage receipt and if you get another buyer claiming the item didn't arrive, send it to them.
