I have left the postage option on for an item that must be picked up. Now I cant change it.

I have forgotten to tick the pick up only option for an item that must be picked up by the buyer. It is 12 hours from auction end. What advice can you give me to fix.

Less than 12 hours, there is very little that can be changed to a listing.

You can add to the description in big letters Pick up only, postage is an error.

The dining set has 2 bids on it, message both bidders, apologize and explain you will retract their bids if they cannot pick up.

Then use bid retraction - http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/buy/bidding-overview.html

If both are retracted, end the item and relist with corrections.
