I had a strange thing happen. The final bid for the item went into three figures, though the item was worth less than half of the final bidding amount. The buyer contacted me and apologised for a problem with her computer and begged out of the transaction. I cancelled the transaction via resolution and under the advice from eBay phone support. No problem so far.
So why is the cancelled transaction still showing up in my "sold" column, even saying "Cancel transaction case is closed. You received a Final Value Fee" and that I have relisted my item but in the far left column in "My Ebay" it says that that three figure amount under "payment" is "not received"?
As I have relisted the item, it is currently active under "active selling", however, the cancelled transaction is still showing in "sold" and all it says on the far right of that is "add tracking number". Do I delete this one under "sold"? Will ebay charge me a final value fee for the "payment not received" in the column on the left?
It's a situation I haven't been in before so if it's as easy as deleting the original, failed transaction, then I'll do that. But what do I do exactly? Thanks in advance.
