I want to cancel an item with less then 12 hours before the auction ends and there is an opening bid but the item is broken

I discovered the breakage when I was preparing the item for shipping but it seems that I have to continue the auction. I'm certainly not going to sell the item in the condition that it is in so I will refund the money to the buyer but it seems to be a lot of unnecessary hassle to both me and the potential buyer..?

just keep ending any bids you have (you cant end auction), explaining why.

hopefully if you keep an eye on it, you'll end with NO SALE
