Is it ok to ask a buyer to pitch in a few dollars in they were undercharged for postage?

Relative new to buying and selling and I was wondering if an item was bought for a dollar and the seller had undercharged the postage by a few dollars is it ok for them to ask for a bit extra to help cover the postage cost?  Is that greedy? Should they pitch in the extra for trying to keep postage cost down?

Sellers can not charge more than the price advertised in the listing.

They can ask if the buyer can pay more to cover the actual cost BUT the buyer has every right to say no and the seller can not do anything about it.

I would guess the seller was not happy with the end price and is trying to make it up some other way.
