Item sold successfully but no eBay email confirmation of the sale i

I successfully sold an item recently and received the normal confirming email from eBay.  The listings of several other items concluded unsuccessfully at the same time and eBay's emails advised accordingly.  24 hours later the buyer of the original (successful) sale emailed to request an invoice for a second item he'd bought in the overall batch.  I thought I must have missed seeing this confirmation of a second sale.  I (double) checked all of the original eBay emails but there wasn't one confirming the second sale, however it was displayed in my 'sold' folder and unnoticed.  That matter was resolved promptly.  Does this glitch surprise anyone, or is it par for the course?  Lee.

It happens occasionally.

 

I never rely on eBay to inform me of anything. 

 

If you're not on managed payments, then Paypal would be a better resource.

 

Either way, it is prudent to actually manage your business yourself. Like checking your 'sold' items regularly.
