Negative feedback cant follow up

I sold something on ebay but whilst this was up on Ebay the product was stolen by my ex and she left my house etc, had no way of getting the product, during this time the item sold and the ebayer had paid, i refunded the ebayer immediately with an email of apology as this is all i could do, the ebayer then left me negative feedback as i "just refunded him"... in my opinion i dont think i deserve negative feedback for this. I tried to follow up the negative feedback but it wont allow me to, maybe because i hadnt logged onto ebay for a good while.

Any ideas what i can do to correct this?... as its brought my feedback from 100% to 80%

I don`t think there is a time limit for follow up FB, but as you pointed out kazumi, the OP is in the UK, so they should be able to do it once logged in to their home site.

But as also pointed out, only 3 months to go and your 100% rating will be restored.

Nothing you can do, other than retrieve the item, and send it to the buyer with your apologies and then ask them to revise their feedback.

You shouldn't sell something when its ownership is in dispute .. the buyer doesn't care about a struggle between you and your ex for a playstation, they just want the item they paid for.

And, frankly, buyers are a bit sick of "tall stories" they are told for sellers not supplying items .. despite yours may well being true, many stories given are not - I've hard so many car accidents, cancer diagnosis, people dying, cats jumping on computers and buying items, it's all a bit vexacious after a while!

Not sure why you can't floow up but really there's nothing to say. If you're not a full time seller then one neg won't affect you too much .. and it will disappear in 12 months. I am sure someone will come along and tell you how to do a follow up - my only advice is to use this opportunity wisely as what you say will reflect on you even more and a rant about your ex won't do you any favors. Maybe just an apology would work best?
