I just had a buyer file a "Payment not recognized" against me and thank heavens I had tracking to submit. I was protected under eBay's seller protection.
The financial institution SIDED with them, they WON, despite the fact the item was delivered to their address and I contacted the buyer and asked why they had filed the claim, they said that they didn't file a claim. WAIT - WHAT!?
So they lied to me? Imagine taking someone to court and when asked by the judge if you filed the lawsuit you said that you didn't. LOL **bleep**. This is beyond insane.
This is blatant fraud and I have reported the user to ACSC.
Is it really that easy for these people to get away with buying an item and then submitting a month or so later "payment not recognised" and their bank authorized a charge-back??? Despite the fact that they had NO evidence and I had ALL the evidence.
Makes me slightly nervous as a merchant to be honest.
It is possible their account was hacked.
Mine was and 2 purchases were made from a Russian account.
PayPal returned my funds thank goodness.
