Why do you need to wait 24hrs before a listing appears on ebay as I think this applies to new members.I don't think this is some how fair because if you list an item at a certain time and list it say for 7 days then by the time the listing appears 24hrs later then 1 day has passed and the listing is actually only for 6 days.This wouldn't matter if the listing is free but what about the listings that you get charged $1.50 you are then getting ripped off for those 24hrs.If any one disagrees please let me know why.

Cherry, if you want to debate this, you would be best taking it to the discussion boards as answers are limited here and the answer center is for specific problems.
However to respond to your point, the way the system works is to pick up items in sweeps. When your item is listed depends on when the the next sweep picks it up and also depending on what the item is.
The listing form clearly states that it may take up to 24 hours for an item to show in searches.
