Hi,

If I sell an item starting bidding at $25 and buy now for $80 and time runs out and someone just buys it for $25 can I charge them the buy now amount?

No

What the item sells for is what they pay

If you choose to put $25 as the starting bid, and there is only one bid, the buyer pays $25 (plus whaver postage there may be)

If you have a buy it now price also, if the bidder bids on the auction price, the buy it now price will instantly disappear and again, if there is only one bid, that is what the item sells for

Only ever start an auction at a price you are willing to take if there is only one or very few bids  (don't forget all the ebay fees and paypal fees that will be taken out,too

If you refuse to honour a sale because you are unhappy with the sale price, the 'buyer' has every right to leave you a red dot should they choose to
