Received a faulty claim from buyer over 30 days after receipt, can they still ask for a refund?

Buyer is asking for refund over 30 days from reciept of item? Item was in perfect working condition when packaged and as described, how can they use it for 6 weeks and then ask for money back? No refund policy on item when sold.
