Refund for item buyer thinks is not genuine

I never advertised them as real or genuine, just used the word "pearl" in my decription. The starting price was modest, which should have been a good indication they were not real. I paid over $300 for them, but have nothing to prove that, and no original description from the original vendor, as it was many years ago. I have asked the customer whether she has taken them to a gemmologist or certified jeweller to see exactly what they are, an said if Ebay advises me to refund her $20.50, I will do so.
