Selling used electrical appliances

I am planning to list some used kitchen appliances. They are currently working. It will be pick up only and I could demonstrate the item working at the time of pick up. Would I still be open to an item not as described dispute if it stops working after the buyer gets it home? Am I right in thinking that it is the buyer's responsibility to make sure pick up items are as described?

There is NO buyer protection for items that are purchased as "pick up only" no matter how they are paid. You can demonstrate them working, and feel safe in the knowledge that if they pay their money and take them away, then that's the end of the matter, no matter what might happen afterward.

Be aware that at the time of pick up - they have the ability to walk away without paying. (if the item does not appear as described - or in reality - for any reason) But once they have paid and gone, that's it.
