Send an offer button - if I send an offer will the postage on the listing remain the same flat rate?

A potential customer has contacted me asking for a reduced price on my flat rate postage for my item. I have offered to discount the item via reply inbox however if i send an offer using the "send an offer" button, it automatically says (offer does not include postage) does that mean I should send an offer for a new total amount? Or a new total less the flat rate postage on my listing?

I don't want to send an offer and include the postage, then have ebay automatically charge the postage on top of the total amount if they accept or visa versa. The customer will then be overcharged or undercharged so I'm hoping someone can clear this up for me 🙂

Did U end up finding out as I have a similar situation and trying to figure out if I send an offer is the offer a total price including postage or will postage be added on top still

The person you are asked posted their issue seven years ago. I doubt they are going to reply to you, or that it is the 'same' issue now as it was back then
