Hello - any advice from experienced sellers would be much appreciated. I sold 2 items of clothes and once the buyer committed to each purchase asked me if I can combine postage. i explained that yes, postal cost for one item was listed as $13.50 the other $8.50. As I don't really know what thje actual postage is I decided to charge based on what I saw others sellers nominate. I know that I can probably safely get the 2 items to her for $13.50 plus SOD - so I invoiced $16.50. She paid tonight and then sends me a message saying that combined postage actually means free post on one item and that she's not happy and as such would like a partial refund on the postal cost of $8.50. Personally, don't like the 'tone' of her message, anyway... - Is there some sort of an unwritten ebay rule/definition as to what combined post means and do I now actually owe her a partial refund? I really don't want to miss something here as my only interest is to sell off a few unwanted/unused items around the house.
Thank you in advance for your answers and congrats to all sellers - I don't know how you do it......I'm going cross eyed over this whole thing!!
Combined postage means they will be posted together.
A combined postage discount means less than the total for the sepeate items will be charged, the discount can be as large or as small as you want. If a buyer wants to know how much, if any discount they will get they should ask before bidding/buying. It certainly doesn't mean you are obliged to send one item free of any charge.
