Which countries to ship to?

I'm selling a gold ring.  I'm in Australia.  I notice some sellers disclude about 60 countries ranging from Africa to Yemen.  Why do they, and what's the best bet for me?  Thanks

I don't send to various countries because I have had items lost to those and you generally hear about certain countries that seem to have many problems.

I would simply list to Australia only to begin with, you may find it sells quickly. If you are listing an auction, have the starting bid a price you are happy with so if it only gets one bid at least it sold for a good price.

Also expensive items can attract scammers from overseas.
