Why is scalping allowed?

Scalped Steam controllers everywhere. Why is eBay facilitating this anti-consumer practice? Is is really worth screwing over consumers just for some seller fees?

Also shame on eBay for not having a report button or an easily accessible support email. Silicon Valley profiteering at its worst.

There  are reports of this everywhere and some of them will be scams for non existent items.

What others are doing is reporting them under  pre-sale and 'some' eBay listings  and / or on other sites have been removed.

Your best bet is if they clearly don't meet the presale policy

https://www.ebay.com.au/help/policies/listing-policies/presale-listings-policy?id=4252&srsltid=AfmBO...

Go to the ? at the lower right of the listing page

Click

Submit Report

Content Type  >  Product Or Listing

Reason For Report  >  A Problem In The Listing

Detailed Reason  >  Presale

Brief Description

Tick    I Confirm...

Submit Report

There is a report button on every listing

You'd need to ask eBay

Ask the buyers who buy them

No idea what a steam controller is

No need for a 'support email' when eBay help is at the top of every single page where you type speak to an agent in the chatbot

every item has a report button….what is one of the item numbers?
