I remember years ago when Ebay decided to take fees out of the postage costs...After thinking about this, i think Ebay should leave the " actual " postage costs alone. And just take their fees out of the excess...For example...I sell an item and postage costs $10.95. On my listing i put $12.00 to cover a bit of packing, boxes, posting etc. Therefore, Ebay should only take fees out of $1.05.....I really find this inappropriate. What are your opinions on this matter..
You're flogging a dead horse.
Many years down the road.
The question than becomes what is the excess. You say $1.05. But for some of my customers it can be $4.00ish.
At the end of the day, they have the best approach, its the total cost they are charging a fee on. Next you will want them to deduct the wholesale cost of the item as well. You are selling a product, the product is made up of the item, the packaging and the postage, all those have a cost, which part do you include or exclude, why pick on postage.
we tried to fight it many, many years ago, to no avail....it is what it is
