Finally got the answer to my problem about finding free listings from calling ebay help line. for the third time. I needed to click on to where my G'day name is, click on account settings then click on sell from the drop down menu. Down at the bottom of the page are my free listing. Hooray!!! They are there twice but this is a glitch and I only get one lot.
