hi i sold an item on Saturday 14th, & no payment has gone through, how long before i can relist it?
You are in a situation where you have a high level of being scammed so take extreme care. New user, expensive electronic item, no history of selling = red alert to being ripped off.
A buyer has 4 full days to pay. At the expiration of 4 days to the minute, you are able to open an "unpaid item case" (drop down menu, next to item, "resolve a problem")
Then the buyer has another 4 full days to pay, again to the minute.
If still no payment is recorded you can close the case, you get your final value fees back (about $60.00) and the buyer gets a non-payment strike.
If you don't follow this procedure for non-payment, you don't get your fees back. Meh, $60 bucks is kind of a lot of money, so better play by the rules here.
Then, and ONLY then, you can re-list.
Be aware to send item via trackable means with signature on delivery so that you have proof of posting if the buyer tries to pull a scam and says it hasn't arrived. The onus is on you to PROVE you have sent it. (and buyers who are in Nigeria, or want some weird instructions, forget it - total scam)
Also you can't send a lithium battery via Australia Post .. they won't accept it. Maybe ask their advuce? Or you'll have to use a road freight company - toll, smart send, e-go etc. They all have online tracking and signature so are good to go.
